TTT Meaningful Weekend

Call for papers

19-20 February 2022

TTT Meaningful Weekend

... is an online 2-day conference for English teachers to share with the ELT world what you really do in your classrooms behind the closed doors. We believe that teachers should share even ‘the little things’ they do and learn from each other's practice.

The unusual thing about this event is that we will not announce the speakers, only the talks. We want you to choose the talks you need, not the person you like. That’s why we’re calling it a Meaningful Weekend.

The conference is organised by Teachers Teach Teachers.

This is a call for papers page, so you can apply here. You can also register your interest to be the first one to get the registration link.

Teaching lexically
Tools for online teaching
● Practical psychology for teachers
● Practical insights from linguistics
● Materials Development
● Professional development for teachers
(unusual approaches, tips, techniques, something that helps you become a better teacher yourself).

If you have an idea for the talk that doesn’t fit any of these, but you believe it to be important and within our principles, do apply as a speaker too!

Apply as a speaker

Who can apply?

We would really like to invite and support new speakers. Experience is not an issue, because we’ll be helping you prepare your talk. There will be coaching for speakers and 2 pre-moderation meet-ups.

We are looking for current ELT practitioners with more than 1 year of teaching experience interested in any of the topics listed above.

    Who we are

    Teachers Teach Teachers

is a co-learning project for EFL teachers. Since 2019, we’ve been growing, building up a community of like-minded professionals who are willing to share and grow together.

The project has marked its first year, and in the middle of the second one we’re organizing this unusual ELT event.

Save the date in your calendar – 19-20 December 2020.

    Why we are doing this

We believe in inspiring and empowering ELT practitioners to share their classroom experience with colleagues and we’d like to provide them with an opportunity to share.
With the fantastic teachers as participants of the project, we have built a strong methodological base, and we have already shared with the ELT world our expertise. In times of pandemic our free online course on how to teach online was taken by 2000+ teachers from all over the world. We can’t allow everyone to join our project yet (limited capacity), but we can organise a bigger event once in a while to share most important stuff.
We would like ELT teachers to be provided with a safe and enriching space for professional growth.
Fill in this form and check the Meaningful Weekend box. You can always tick other boxes as well if you want.
